Effraim Catlow, Ride BMX UK october 1997: Ripping to the sound of LL Cool J, the king of the stubble duck tricks, Michael Steingraber ripped with his mad style, getting the crowd going with his showmanship. He had some mad links too, I love that blender to body-varial to karl kruzer, Steingraber was well up for it, a well deserved fifth.

Sur son beau proto Dragonfly "Solo" il s'amuse avec des jeux de miroir: Stabble Duck Caboose à droite et à gauche enchaînés avec un inside caboose, opposite hang five to back packer to hang five de l'autre côté qui se finit en stabble duck circle K et pour finir, un bon vieux rollaid (rolling decade). Mike remporte les qualifs mais c'est avec le chèque de la 3éme place qu'il repart.

Lain Young, theflatlander.com: The second place man, Michael Steingräber, was in my opinion amazing. I can't really pick out one particular amazing trick from his run but that's not to say that he wasn't pulling hard moves - but he was just so dialled and smooooth that they kind of melted one in to the other. I think in his final run he only came off once, which must have barely cost him the win, throughout the run the guy was pure confidence to say the least, at no point did he look like there was any move he wouldn't pull.

Et bien moi non plus et y a pas que ça comme tricks que je ne lui connaissais pas, et pourtant je suis sur pratiquement tous les contests européens ! C'est donc du Mike'S tout frais, tout beau qui nous est offert sur un plateau et ça faisait bien longtemps qu'on en avait pas vu !
