1970 Greg was born on January 17th, 1970, in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he was adopted by his wonderful parents Paul and Barbara Guillotte.
early years Later they moved to Plano, Texas where the young Greg began his BMX obsession. Building ramps in the driveway of his parents home, impressing neighbors by doing wheelies up and down the street. Greg loved his bike.

His father was transferred to The Hague, Holland when Greg was ten years old. This is where Greg actually began doing a little bit of BMX racing. However it wasn't exactly what he was looking for. He started learning flatland, and messing around on neighborhood ramps.

1984 Four years later, 1984, Greg and his family moved to London, England. This is where things really started to happen for Greg. He found friends that shared his same interest in riding. Some of his friends such as, Jason Webb, Phil Dolan, Lee Reynolds, Nick Elkan (Howard), would go to Piccadilly Circus in London and do freelance Flatland shows for tourists to get some extra cash. Of course these shows were rather quick considering the local police would run them off once they were spotted. Leicester Square, Hyde park, Romford skate park, Piccadilly, Southsea, Meanwhile skate park, and Latimer Road were local hangouts for the group. Some of the other riders included Lincoln Blacksely, Andy Brown, Mike Canning, and David Beveridge.

You could ride all day and hit several different spots without a car or public transportation. When it rained, we'd find parking garages to ride flat until we got kicked out. Those were the days.

1988 Greg moved back to Plano, Texas in 1988 and continued to ride for a while. It was difficult due to a BMX slump which started in 1988 and did not end until the early 90's.

Greg Guillote came from England. Well, actually, he came from Texas, but he lived in England for a while. It was there where he perfected his ramp riding skills. Friday night before the comp he had decided to turn pro-and was talked out of it by friends. It would have been interesting to see how he fared in the pro class. 1991 Brakeless Greg Guillotte is on the cover of Go april 1991.
Once again on Robert Rousevall's backyard ramp, in Terrell, Texas. One of very few people Greg had to ride with "back in the day". Go magazine came out with Mat Hoffman and Rick Thorne to get pictures while the magazine was in Texas. Mat even hopped on the ramp and pulled a huge 540.

1992 1992 BS round 1 "Chainwheel massacre", January 26-27, 1992, Jeff Phillips Skatepark, Dallas, Texas, USA.
One guy to ride the park (but didn't enter) was Greg Guillotte. He hadn't ridden for a while because there are not many people living around him who ride and there are no ramps, but two weeks before the Bicycle Stunt contest he found out about the park and started riding again. Ten feet, 720s, rad stuff, no pads, he hasn't changed.
Greg Guilotte, www.fatbmx.com, january 2009: I didn't even know there was an event that day. I hadn't been riding for quite awhile and I just decided to go there and have some fun. I sessioned with old friends and had a good time. I remember doing a big fly-out from a mini onto the top of the park's office. The roof gave way and I came crashing down into the office below. Jeff got so mad he punched the wall and broke his hand. Good times.
2009 Greg Guilotte, www.fatbmx.com, january 2009: I recently got a Stolen Heist and have been messing around. I weigh 100 lbs. more than I used to though so I'm working on that. I tried it new school style with the bars alligned to the forks and the seat dropped down but it felt too odd. So I'm representing old school with my bars 90 degrees to the ground and my seat to where I can sit comfortably. Call me stubborn.
