Round 1 Place: Orlando, FL. Date: 2001 Medias: www.dirtcircuit.com. GT's Mike Parenti took home the win at the seasons first Dirt Circuit held at the Race Rock Restaurant in Orlando, Florida. Not only was this Mike's first Dirt Circuit Series win, but it was his first professional dirt jumping contest win ever. Mike ran into a little bad luck in qualifying when he bent his forks on the last jump. Luckily, there was a spare set in the DK trailer and Mike was ready to bust big in the finals. His win was well deserved with amazing runs including huge 360 variations and flip tricks on the first set. Mike's second set tricks included no-footed can-cans stretched beyond belief and superman-seatgrabs. |

Round 2 Place: Carlsile, PA. Date: 2001 Medias: www.dirtcircuit.com. DK/1-800-COLLECT's own Chris Doyle won his first event of the 2001 season in Carlisle, PA. As you may already know, Chris is the Current Dirt Circuit Champion. With a strong second place finish in Florida along with this win, Doyle is now in the first place spot in the standings. Not to jinx Doyle's successful season, but Dirt Circuit Championships have always come in pairs. Joey Garcia, Brian Foster, and Ryan Nyquist all took the title two years in a row. It will be exciting to see if Chris can keep the Dirt Circuit tradition. |
