2007 | www.vitalbmx.com, june 2007: Cory Muth and Steve Buddedeck are true veterans in the BMX business. The two of them have mainly worked on the marketing side of BMX, and they own a creative agency called Axis based in Dayton, Ohio. Earlier this year they launched a new BMX accessory company named Duo, and theyve now jumped headfirst into the complete bicycle market with their newest venture: a bike company named Verde. Cory Muth, www.vitalbmx.com, june 2007: The name of the brand is Verde. We wanted a name that we could work with and had some depth. Verde means green in Spanish, but to us it means a little more. It reminds me of something fresh and new, which is exactly how we want to be perceived. Mark Noble, expn.com, august 2009: When Verde Bicycles launched back around 2007, they blew a lot of skirts up with a really clean and unfussy range of bikes from the outset. There was nothing duff in the line at all, and with a small but perfectly formed team, you could tell that Verde were starting out right and intended to stay around for the long haul. |

2010 | KEVIN KIRALY CARTEL SERIES SIGNATURE FRAME. Brian Tunney, www.expn.com, september 2010: Verde Bicycles announced the release of the new Kevin Kiraly signature Cartel series frame today. 22-year-old Kiraly, who hails from Livermore, Calif., has been killing it in the streets the past year, appearing in numerous Verde trip edits and in the street contest at X Games 16. "This is my first signature frame, and it was awesome. I got to pick all of the angles I wanted," said Kiraly. The Kiraly edition of the Verde Cartel series features three top tube lengths (20.5", 20.75", 21"), a steep 75.25 degree head tube angle, and a short, 13.5" rear end. Kiraly's signature Cartel frame was on display at Interbike 2010 in Las Vegas, Nev. last week. The frame is now available in stores, which, according to Verde, will be followed by a Brian Yeagle signature series frame in the near future. Kiraly is also scheduled to have a section in the upcoming "Deadline" video, which will also feature Garrett Reynolds, JJ Palmere and more. No release date has been set for the video. For an inside look at an earlier version of Kevin's signature frame, check out this ESPN gallery from May. |

Mike Ardelean Ryan Barrett first team rider. Kris Bennett july 2007: Just sending some news out to let everyone know that after about 7 years on the team, I have left Volume to ride for Steve Buddendeck and Cory Muth's new project Verde. There are no hard feelings feelings on either side and I am very appreciative of everything Volume has done for me over the years. Verde has offered me a great opportunity to take the next step with my riding, and I am excited to help the company grow to it's full potential. Also, I will still be riding for Demolition Parts. - thecomeupbmx.net, december 2008: Kris Bennett is off Verde and back on Volume.
